- At School Space we have our own Public Liability Insurance which covers us for any accidental injury or damages caused through our own negligence.
- All our schools also have Public Liability Insurance which covers any injury caused through their own negligence.
- Finally, we need you, the event organiser, to have Public Liability Insurance to cover any accidental injury or damages caused through your own negligence.
E.g. if a Community Connector (a member of our on-site team) left a spillage on the floor and an attendee slipped over, it could be our negligence rather than the event organiser’s.
However, as soon as there is an accidental injury caused to a guest or damage is caused to the venue and/or its contents, and it is caused through the negligence of the event organiser, the responsibility no longer lies with School Space.
E.g. if, while setting up the event, you, the organiser left objects lying around which a guest later tripped over and injured themselves upon, the event organiser could be liable if the individual wanted to make a claim.
